AutoCAD Customization and Implementation
Steve Nickerson has been a consultant specializing in CADD implementation and training under
the auspices of Nickerson Associates ltd. since the mid 1980's. Activities in this field have
included:
- Development of CART an AutoCAD add-on which automaticaly generates a 3-D model form
a database of points
- Developed a CAD/CAFM interface & utilities for Autocad
- Developed a small-site GIS system using custom software to integrate Autocad & Dbase with
field survey requirements
- Developed measuring tools and techniques to facilitate entering measurements into the
computer
- adaptation of CAD to extant recording
- integration of CADD with photogrammetry
- National CADD Implementation Officer, A&ES (EC) Public Works Canada, responsible for
the implementation of CADD to the five regional offices and headquarters of the Architectural
& Engineering Services of PWC dedicated to Environment Canada. (one year contract)
- Director of Cad Operations, W. Loates + Associates, a Kanata, Ontario Architectural firm, and
the associated Dynar Architects Inc. which has offices in Ottawa and Toronto (under contract)
- AutoCAD Instructor for the Ottawa School Board and the Ottawa Carleton Industrial Training
Council.
