Proposed courses on:
Heritage Recording and Documentation
Steve Nickerson - firstname.lastname@example.org
These courses in Heritage Recording and Documentation are intended to give a student, already working in an architectural environment, an appreciation of the need for adequate recording and the advantages to be gained by having a quality record of the resource. Then, by having them design and execute a recording project, they will develop an understanding of what is involved and what is possible in this field.
The design and implementation of a data structure in support of both the resource to be recorded and the recording process irself will be stressed and the "CartHtml Publisher", a software package developed by the instructor which automates HTML publishing by enforcing a strictly organized data set will be used extensively. The course manual and case studies will be prepared using this tool and the student assignments will be presented in this format.
