If you use CAD drawings a method of developing your data it becomes a little more complicated to present that information over the internet. There does exist the .DWF or "Drawing Web Format" file type which does allow CAD drawings to be presented across the internet but it is not a native HTML format so additional software is required to allow your audience to access it.

If you simply want to show a picture of your CAD drawing the easiest way to do it is to prepare a .GIF image of the drawing as it appears on screen either using a screen grab (printScreen is probably the easiest) or by plotting the drawing to a .GIF format (JPGs are not appropriate for any type of line work). This is what has been done above.
This is a caption for DWF.* which is why it turns up in more than one place.

If, however, you want to maintain some CAD capabilities (like zoom, layers and views) and/or a (relatively) easy way to add hyperlinks to the drawing some special software will be required.

At present two possibilities exist:

A plugin called WHIP! available for free from Autodesk

A java based program, also available for free (in the "Light" version) from: ArNoNa software

Each has its advantages and each its problems.

These files are prepared as an export from the CAD program and have tha capacity to carry links on the drawing entities within them. There is such a drawing included below which will at least show you if you have the plugin. The links won't work as the support files are not included here but there are lots of examples at the CART site.

If you won't be using this function and don't want to load the plug-in you can see some sample files at: viewcad though here to the links won't work except for cart.dwf
