The CADView Java Option

The image above is a quick reference of what the controls do but you might want to take a look at the Help facility as well. There should also be a CADView window somewhere that is scalable and generally more flexible and responsive than those embedded in the browser.

If you are using a non-Windows platform you should keep this stand-alone CADView window available while you browse the site. Whenever you encounter a situation that calls for the WHIP! Plugin look for the file in question by using the Select File icon.

There are problems with this approach, mostly because the embedded links don't work, but it's the best I can do until I have time to convert everything to Java.

Minimize this window but don't close it or do anything else with it as that will close the CADView session as well.

If you can see this message your browser is not running Java, something it MUST do if you are to view this CAD drawing. Netscape 3.0 and Internet Explorer 3.0 (or above) include Java support. If you are using Netscape, you can enable Java under meun item: "Edit->Preferences->Advanced". With Explorer it is probably somewhere under "Security". Once this is done reload/refresh the page and the drawing should appear.
